Las Vegas

Erica's good friend from high school, Heidi, asked us to meet up with her in Vegas for a quick weekend getaway to celebrate her upcoming marriage to her high school sweetheart. Erica was actually the one who set them up in high school, so she's proud to say she is a great matchmaker! Heidi booked our hotel at the fabulous MGM Grand so that we could spend hours at the famous Wet Republic pool. We had a blast together! It was so fun getting away and spending some time with just girls. I loved it!

Poolside at Wet Republic

After we checked in and had our luggage delivered to our room, we headed straight to the Wet Republic pool. We pretty much lived by the pool the rest of the weekend.

 Note to self: bring your own beverages! My Strawberry Daiquiri was $12.00!! Plus tip. Ouch. Good thing it tasted good.

Laying out in the sun and relaxing is my favorite type of vacation. Not a care in the world!

Heidi and Erica hadn't seen each other in awhile. They had fun catching up and reminiscing about the good 'ol high school days.

We couldn't get enough of the pool. We stayed there until 7pm that night. Then it was off to walk the Strip.

Dinner at the Venetian
We walked from one end of the Strip to the other. Our feet were so tired when we finally made it to the Venetian for dinner.

 On our way back, we decided to take the Monorail to the MGM Grand instead of walking. Ha ha. We're wimps.

 Studio 54 Club
That night we hit up MGM Grand's Studio 54! It was so much fun! I hadn't gone out dancing in quite awhile! The DJ was awesome. I can't get enough of Hip-Hop.

Back to the Pool

The  next morning we went back to Wet Republic for another day of lounging and getting some rays. It was perfect.

Our girls' trip was amazing. We all had a fabulous time. I think trips like this are good for the soul! :) Even if it's only for the weekend. It's so nice to get away from the daily grind. I LOVED this trip!
